For twenty-five years I have enjoyed the study of Christian Science. Having asked a neighbor to lend me "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and been told that she could not be without it for any great length of time, I stayed up until two o'clock in the morning for three nights in order to read it.

I was impressed with Christian Science as a religion, and felt that it was what a religion should be, but at that time I believed in chiropractic for healing.

Two months later I had my first healing through Christian Science. I was taken ill with what seemed to be typhoid fever and pneumonia, and being unable to get my chiropractor and refusing medical aid, I finally consented to have Christian Science help. Fifteen minutes after work was begun, the fever was gone. I improved rapidly, and in a few weeks was entirely well. I decided to look further into Science.
