One of my first healings in Christian Science came in 1918, during the so-called influenza epidemic, when I had the ailment in a very severe form. Although I was quite young in the study of Christian Science, I placed radical reliance on the truth I had learned, and with the help of a practitioner I was healed. This healing has been a staff on which to lean when I have been going through other wilderness experiences.

A few of the many other healings I have had since that time have been those of sick headaches, colds, lumbago, and a sprained ankle with badly torn ligaments and a broken bone; also, two tumors on one of my wrists vanished.

There have been many proofs of protection from accidents by my knowing that every idea is held in its rightful place by the law of Love.
