Among the Churches
Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts (Society).—The dedication service of Christian Science Society of Martha's Vineyard was held on Sunday morning, August 17, 1941, signalizing the freedom from debt of the new church structure on New York Avenue at Oak Bluffs. A large gathering was present for the occasion.
After the usual notices, a history of the Christian Science Society on the island was presented, tracing the growth until the present time. The review follows in part:
"Christian Science Society of Martha's Vineyard was admitted as a branch of The Mother Church on February 17, 1928.
