With world events turning almost faster than the average thinker can satisfy himself with a cause for each successive maneuver, many people are turning to higher ideals than worldly thought for the solution of the transformations that seem daily to confront mankind. So fast do things and events seem to be whirling about that one feels the need of something stronger than mere personal guidance to lean upon and to look to for an understanding; and, even though we have the Scriptural assurance: "Be strong, fear not; behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you. Here we read (Jeremiah 31:31, 34): "Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah. ... And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, ... for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them."
