My healing is comparable, in my...
My healing is comparable, in my opinion, to some of the miracles which Jesus performed in olden days, and it is with the desire to help someone in the seemingly helpless condition in which I found myself that I submit this testimony.
After the birth of my second child I was a semi-invalid and often spent several weeks at a time in bed. During the year 1916 the diagnosis of physicians was that my abdominal organs were completely diseased, and that a major operation was necessary to remove them. A year and a half after the operation I was suddenly stricken with a relapse, and the surgeons said that nothing more could be done.
At this point I began the study of Christian Science, and several small but beautiful healings took place, for which I am truly grateful. For some years I read that blessed book, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, and was sustained and comforted. However, the error was not uncovered. I had walked not more than two blocks at a time in twenty-six years, and for nine years and a half previous to my healing was unable to stand or take a step, and was in a wheel chair. At last, I lay for weeks at the point of death.
