I feel it a duty and privilege to bear witness to Truth and to what Christian Science has done for me. I was healed of smallpox, and of eczema on my face. A broken bone in my foot was healed without the help of a physician. I was a little lame for a few days, but was able to do all my housework.

Christian Science was also a great help in rearing my children. One day one of the boys found a mining cap and held it in the fire until it exploded. The copper shell was blown to bits, several pieces entering his face, hand, arm, and chest. He was very much frightened. I realized the truth about God and man's relationship to Him the best I could, knowing that God made no poison. The boy was soon calm and never had any further trouble. This occurred more than twenty years ago.

Another boy had a very badly swollen face on one side, which kept getting worse for several days. The practitioner came to see him on the fifth day; the next morning the swelling was nearly gone, and the discoloration quickly disappeared. He was out of school only one week.
