About twenty-five years ago,...
About twenty-five years ago, while I was in Nebraska because of tuberculosis, a young woman told me that God is Love. This I thought about many times. After returning home I wrote to her and asked for some literature and she sent me a Christian Science Sentinel. As soon as I commenced to read, I knew it set forth the truth, because such peace and quiet took possession of my consciousness, and I felt as though I were walking on air. Before this I had thought that I could walk only a very few blocks. My healing took place in such a comparatively short time I hardly realized when the trouble left me.
Words are inadequate to express my appreciation for Christian Science, for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church, and for class instruction; also for the help of practitioners, and for the lovely work I am doing at the present time.
I am so grateful for the work that Christian Science is doing in the world.—(Miss) Ida Severns, Princeton, New Jersey.
