Replacing Worry with Trust in God

Families and friends of men in military service have a glorious opportunity in these times to demonstrate the protective power of Christian Science. Everyone desires to help these loved ones in the service, and thus it is necessary to be constantly alert to the truth and to refute aggressive suggestions instantly.

One prevalent suggestion is that of worry—worry about the loved one's place, his health, and his life. Yet, in the light of Christian Science, worry is baseless and needless. Our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, gives us this simple and profound statementon page 492 of her textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures": "God is Mind, and God is infinite; hence all is Mind."

Since "all is Mind," man, Mind's idea, forever abides in Mind. Knowing this, each one, including the loved one in military service, finds health and life in Mind, God. Wherever one may be—at home, in a front-line trench, piloting an airplane, on a ship, or driving a tank—he is, in reality, abiding in omnipotent Mind and eternally expressing omnipresence. Mind is the only real abiding place, even though material sense may suggest varied and dangerous environments.
