I am very grateful to be able to prove with certainty the healing and regenerating power of Christian Science.

I did not come to Christian Science for physical healing, but when I began studying this wonderful subject, I was smoking over thirty cigarettes a day, and had a very bad cough resulting from this habit. I tried will power to overcome it, but my resolve to stop smoking was always broken long before noon each day.

When I first began to study Science, a practitioner let me call and talk to her, and through her work I was healed in one treatment of a very sore foot. I was so astonished at this healing that I asked her to help me about the cigarette habit, and again in one treatment I was healed. The desire for smoking left me entirely, and that was over sixteen or seventeen years ago. I cannot describe the joy it was to be free and not to be a slave to the craving for smoking.
