"He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions." The truth contained in this Bible verse was demonstrated to me about five years ago. I was confined to my bed for a month with erysipelas.

Some time previous to this experience I had met a very lovely woman, who I later learned was a Christian Science practitioner. During my difficulty I was led to have her called and told of my illness. She came to see me, and as the result of her loving sense of Truth and impersonal denial of the error that was seeking to disturb man's harmonious reflection of God, good, I fully recovered from the illness and have had no recurrence of it.

Immediately after this experience I became interested in Christian Science, took up the study of it, and became a member of The Mother Church and of a branch church.
