In loving gratitude to our Father-Mother God, to Christ Jesus, the Way-shower, and to Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, I wish to give my testimony along with thousands who are also experiencing proofs of God's healing power, which is as truly here today as when Jesus healed all manner of sickness and sin through the power of God.

Twenty-eight years ago the healing power of Christian Science was demonstrated to me for the first time. We were living in the mountains of Colorado, where my husband was a United States forest ranger. One day he was out on a trip in the higher range of mountains, attending to his duties. After an active day, I prepared our evening meal. I had not been feeling very well, and about this time I felt worse, and sent the oldest child for a neighbor, to whom I had spoken earlier in the day of my condition. Our neighbor knew from the way I had complained that I must be threatened with miscarriage, and on her way back she stopped at a house near by, where some Christian Scientists, with whom I was only slightly acquainted, had come to live, and she asked one of them to come with her. When the Scientist came, I tried to tell her what I thought was wrong; she sat near me and silently declared the truth. Shortly afterward I dropped off to sleep, and slept well all night. I arose the next morning, completely well except for a slight weakness, which soon disappeared.

The Scientist gave me some copies of the Sentinel, and lent me "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and I had Christian Science treatment. About three months later, when my son was born, I had another wonderful proof of God's care. The birth was very harmonious, and quite different from former experiences under medical care. This one was practically painless, and I was able to be up and around the house the third day after, and I felt completely well. A great spiritual awakening filled my thought, and the Christ-idea was born in my consciousness.
