It was in the summer of 1918 that I first heard of Christian Science

It was in the summer of 1918 that I first heard of Christian Science. The following winter I called upon a practitioner for help for a physical condition which doctors had failed to cure. For many weeks I had been without rest or sleep day or night. Within two weeks after Christian Science treatments were given I was well, gaining flesh, and sleeping restfully each night. I then purchased "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. From the first reading of this book I knew that it contained the truth about God, man, and creation. It was the truth we had been searching for.

During the intervening years three daughters and I have experienced healings of lack, sorrow, badly injured limbs, influenza, pneumonia, burns, effects of falls, and what seemed serious stomach ailments. Many problems of home and family have been solved, and life in every way is more harmonious.

One winter, a few years ago, during an unusual spell of ice and sleet, I experienced a severe fall, striking the back of my head with great force. A practitioner was called. The condition seemed serious, and the suggestion of death was with me constantly. The next evening a Christian Science lecture was being given. I had looked forward to attending it, but now the argument was that I could not attend. But with the assurance gained through the help of the practitioner, I did attend the lecture, a portion of which was about the allness of Life and the nothingness of death. I returned home completely free from the effects of the fall.
