I am increasingly grateful to God for the consecrated life of Mary Baker Eddy, our beloved Leader, and for her gift of Christian Science. I am also grateful to the practitioner who has many times given me loving and untiring help.

My first healings in Christian Science were of a sprained ankle and a skin disease. And although I have experienced many more physical healings, they have been secondary to the spiritual growth and inspiration that came to me along with them. I now find it a great joy and privilege to be taking an active part in this great Cause, and working for the good of all mankind.

Some time ago I noticed a growth on our child's finger, and because it seemed to be growing larger and more annoying each day and I was not meeting it, I followed our Leader's admonition in the textbook (Science and Health, p. 420), "If students do not readily heal themselves, they should early call an experienced Christian Sci-entist to aid them." The growth immediately began to dry up and on the third day fell off, leaving no mark whatsoever. This healing proved to me the truth of the words contained in the fourth chapter of Hebrews, "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword."
