Twenty years ago I had reached the last stages of pulmonary consumption, and had been told that I had only a short time to live.

Some years previous to this I had heard of Christian Science, but had paid no attention to it. My religious education had taught me to believe that God had sent me this illness, and I accepted it from His hand. At this time Christian Science was presented to me anew, and having no other means of hope, I agreed to write to a practitioner in Lausanne and ask her for help. As a result of doing this, I found myself getting better from day to day. In less than a month I left my bed, and began to go out again and resume a normal way of living. The healing has been permanent, and has been followed by many other healings.

I was healed in ten days of rheumatism, which had suddenly paralyzed me from head to foot. I have also been healed of liver complaint, of a cerebral hemorrhage consequent to a fall which hurt my head, of frequent headaches, and many other physical ills which are too numerous to mention. For all these blessings received through Christian Science my gratitude is very great, but I am especially greatful for the overcoming of resentment. This healing lifted a heavy burden from me.
