"Man has 'sought out many inventions,' but he has not yet found it true that knowledge can save him from the dire effects of knowledge" (Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, p. 196). This statement was proved true when a condition that had not yielded after six weeks of medical treatment was later healed with one treatment by a Christian Science practitioner one thousand miles away.

An automobile door closed forcibly on one of my hands, and the thought of those around me was that the hand was crushed, but with my understanding of the truth that "accidents are unknown to God" (ibid., p. 424), no trace of the injury was perceptible the next day. Nervousness in a critical stage was overcome. Innumerable proofs of God's allness and man's perfectibility, gained through the study of Mrs. Eddy's writings, all the activities of the Christian Science movement, class instruction, the help of practitioners, and teaching in the Sunday school are cause for great gratitude.—(Mrs.) Laura M. Ruebel, St. Louis, Missouri.
