True Education

True education brings spiritual enlightenment. Such education is promoted by regular and systematic reading of the Christian Science periodicals. Therefore, the reading of these periodicals is of great value to those seeking spiritual enlightenment, health, and happiness.

However, those who read the periodicals in a critical attitude of thought are not likely to gain much from them, but those who read them with an earnest desire to gain from their reading a greater knowledge of the healing truth will be greatly benefited and will be well repaid for the time thus spent.

Practically all who are members of The Mother Church are familiar with the fact that our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, says in the Church Manual (Art. VIII, Sect. 14), "It shall be the privilege and duty of every member, who can afford it, to subscribe for the periodicals which are the organs of this Church;" and we all, as beneficiaries of our Leader's teachings, should be grateful for the privilege of subscribing for these periodicals.
