The Lectures

Introductions to Lectures

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada (First Church).

Lecturer: Miss Florence Middaugh; introduced by George C. Palmer, who said:—

When the holy messenger foretold the coming of Christ Jesus, he used the following words; "He shall be great in the sight of the Lord." When, however, the Saviour had grown to manhood, he himself said, "I can of mine own self do nothing."

Wherein, then, lay the greatness? Was it not in the fact that he consciously and constantly realized that he and the Father—the sole creator of the universe—were one? Upon this basis he saved and healed, and today thousands are leaving behind sinful propensities and sickness as they march on with their faces toward Truth, endeavoring to utilize Christ Jesus' method of healing.

In my childhood I suffered untold agony from epilepsy and biliousness. These are two of many difficulties that have completely disappeared as I have studied Christian Science. I have not lost a day's work through indisposition for over thirty-five years.
