Obedience

I know not, Lord, I cannot tell,
Where this day's work may be;
But if I listen for Thy voice,
It is revealed to me.

Not fully do I see the way,
But as each hour draws near
Thy loving hand is seen to guide;
Thy peaceful steps appear.

Oh, may I walk no other path
Than that which Thou dost plan;
Oh, may I know no other life
Than that Thou hast for man!

I do not know, I cannot tell,
Where this day's work may be;
But when I listen for Thy voice,
It is revealed to me.
