Jefferson, Wisconsin (Society).—On Sunday, June 8, 1941, Christian Science Society of Jefferson dedicated its new church building. The society came into being on June 27, 1910. For a period of five years, services were held at 809½ Main Street, and thereafter in the lecture room of the public library until the completion of the present church building in July, 1940. The society is a branch of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, founded by Mary Baker Eddy. The church was dedicated free of indebtedness. It is a rule of this denomination that a church edifice may not be formally dedicated until it is wholly free from debt.—Jefferson Banner.
