We wish to submit the following testimony regarding the healing of our daughter. Our hearts are full of gratitude for the demonstration of the healing power of Christian Science, for the help of our many friends, and for the work of a practitioner, who made it possible for the child to remain with us.

In January, 1939, our daughter was seriously ill after an operation for appendicitis. Abscesses developed and general peritonitis set in; other operations were performed, three blood transfusions were given, and the end seemed close at hand. After a period of seven weeks, no hope was given by the doctors.

The daughter had all along desired Christian Science; friends also urged that we turn to God for our help. We found a practitioner and decided to rely wholly on Science. Though the child had a high temperature, and had developed pneumonia, we brought her back from the hospital. Her condition was so serious that she could not bear to be touched, but she was able to make the trip, sustained only by God. All medicine, including morphine, which had seemed to be necessary, was discontinued. For nearly three months abscesses formed and drained; during this time she was almost continually in high fever and in a delirious condition.
