It is in the spirit of deep humility that I submit this testimony in the hope that it may help some college student struggling with courses in psychology and preparing for examinations.
I was attending summer school at one of our state universities, previous to taking the examination for my Master's degree. In the opinion of my major professor, who assisted me in planning my program, I was scheduled to take a very difficult course, which included two psychology courses. I had a dread of psychology. Fear was constantly voiced by all candidates up for the examination, and I found myself floundering.
An understanding practitioner gave me faithful help throughout the experience, and it was due to her consecrated work that I was able to complete my studies in a successful manner. She explained to me what true psychology is, and told me that I had been accepting the fears of others. As a result of fear, I had failed to pass several tests in one psychology class, althought at each writing I had known the subject perfectly. Realizing that I could do whatever it was right for me to do, and that nothing is hard to infinite Mind, I asked to be given a comprehensive examination on the subject. On taking this examination, which I approached with perfect peace and calm, I gained an almost perfect score, and the professor commented on the thorough understanding I had shown in the subject. In the other psychology class, bitter antagonism against Christian Science on the part of the professor was uncovered. When this phase of the situation was met, my problems in that class were quickly overcome.
