My life has been so filled with blessings since I became a student of Christian Science that I feel I must share my joy with others.

The first proof we had of God's loving care and protection was at the time our first child was born. Although many so-called medical laws were broken, the birth was harmonious and absolutely without pain. I am increasingly grateful to the practitioner and the Christian Science nurse who attended me at this time.

One outstanding healing I should like to tell about occurred when this child was about four and a half years old. A neighbor had left a can of lye in the yard, and the child, thinking it was something good to eat, filled his mouth full. When he came to me, the picture was anything but a happy one, and since I had no telephone, I sent my brother to try to reach a practitioner. The only one in the vicinity was not at home, so I was obliged to handle the condition myself. I have been so grateful for this proving time. Almost at once the swelling in his lips disappeared, and although the lye had eaten away part of his tongue, within a few hours he was able to eat bread and milk for his supper, and in less than a week all trace of burn was gone. Truly God is good to those who trust in Him.
