A Christian Science period in the Columbia "Church of the Air"...

A Christian Science period in the Columbia "Church of the Air" series was conducted from Station CFRB, Toronto, Sunday afternoon, March 12, 1939, at one o'clock (Eastern Standard Time), by Frederick William Boorer, a former First Reader of a Christian Science church, and was presented with the approval of The Christian Science Board of Directors. Dorothy Stanley Windrim, Soloist, was assisted by Ruby Ramsey Rouse, organist.

After Hymn No. 201 in the Christian Science Hymnal was sung, Mr. Boorer read an address substantially as follows:

Men and women, irrespective of race, color, or creed, are reaching out for that which it is felt will bring them happiness, contentment, and health. How many and varied are human wants, and how equally varied are the means adopted to appease them! Multitudes, for instance, are striving in vain to find a fuller measure of happiness through the accumulation of material wealth. Others imagine that they can procure comfort and satisfaction by indulging various sensuous appetites. And how universal is the search for health!
