I wish to express my gratitude for the healing power of the Word of God, as found in the Bible and in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.

I have not used drugs for over twenty years. With the truths of Christian Science for groundwork, revealing God as divine Principle, and as ever present, I found a modus operandi for living and working. In the wholesale selling field I found my job to be to reflect service to the customers of my company. To be lifted above the motive of merely selling something, into the more gratifying and more wholesome purpose of giving, brought a great light, and in the degree that I held to the idea of service the business grew.

My first healing, some twenty years ago, was that of a cold, which was healed in one treatment. My mother and father had passed on from lung trouble, and there was much fear in my thought whenever a cold appeared. I was very grateful to be made acquainted, through Christian Science, with God as Principle, the understanding of which could be applied to my everyday affairs to bring harmony to them. Later I was healed of a fistula on the right forefinger. This was healed in one hour, and after returning to my hotel and resting for a short time, I awakened and ate a hearty dinner. I then worked for two hours on the detail of Christmas orders for my company with no further sense of pain. From this experience I recognized that all real business is God's business; that I reflected divine intelligence in all my activities; and that since these were primarily spiritual, I could not be fatigued by seeking first "the kingdom of God, and his righteousness."
