Christian Science has been the "pearl of great price" in my life. The first outstanding healing I expereinced was that of a tumorous cancer of long standing. I went to many kindly, thoughtful physicians who tried to help me, and I suffered four operations, all to no avail. Finally the doctor told my husband that there was nothing more to do: that medical aid had done all in its power. He recommended that I be taken home from the hospital, and made as comfortable as possible while I lived. My husband brought me home, practically carrying me to the door, but I slipped and fell, again injuring myself. I spent several weary months in doing nothing but trying to get well, and I shall never cease to be grateful for the loving devotion and care shown me by my mother, sister, and husband.

One day a friend told me of Christian Science. I had heard of Science before, and had known some of those who were active workers in the Christian Science movement, but had paid little heed to what they said to me about it. Now, I began to read. I was told of the healing, through Christian Science, of another friend; then I decided to go to a Christian Science practitioner. After my first visit with the practitioner I wanted to tell everyone how well I felt. Every time I could do so, I went to church, but my healing came through the loving patience and help of the practitioner, and the study of the Bible and of Science and Health by our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy.

This healing took place nineteen years ago, and in that time other troubles, too numerous to mention, have been overcome through the practical application of divine Science.
