Extracts from Reports of Christian Science Committees on Publication

There were more references to Christian Science this year. Of the total number of fifty-one, apart from reports of services, lectures, etc., editors published thirteen letters of correction of the fourteen submitted.

The annual Thanksgiving service was reported in six papers. The Telegraph published the full abridged report of the Annual Meeting of The Mother Church; the Mary-borough Chronicle also published a good report. The Lesson-Sermon excerpts from the Christian Science Quartelry have been published in nine papers, the total number being three hundred and eighty-four, an increase of sixteen over last year. These excerpts are being appreciated by those responsible on the papers for that section of news. When an Assistant Committee on Publication was not as early as usual with the excerpt, one editor said, "I was just going to ring up to ask about this."

Several papers frequently reprint articles from The Christian Science Monitor with credit. The editor of the Mary-borough Chronicle is specially appreciative of the Australian news in it, and printed the following comment: "The Christian Science Monitor, Boston, U. S. A., frequently devotes much space to Australian news."
