"When Love is at the helm"

What great comfort and assurance are in these words by Mary Baker Eddy (Miscellaneous Writings, p. 113): "We have nothing to fear when Love is at the helm of thought, but everything to enjoy on earth and in heaven"!

It is easy to see why there is "nothing to fear when Love is at the helm of thought." Love is God, Spirit; fear is a belief in matter, a belief that something which we treasure can be lost, damaged, or destroyed. As the realization of the everpresence of Love, Spirit, comes to us and guides our thought, the belief in matter necessarily lessens and fear decreases, until ultimately, when Love has complete control, there is no consciousness of matter left, hence no fear.
