I wish to express my sincere gratitude to God for Christian Science, in the hope that my experience may be of help to others who are seeking divine guidance through this beautiful truth.

Over five years ago, approaching childbirth was complicated by a condition of the heart which had held me in bondage since early childhood. Three physicians despaired of my life, and I earnestly turned to Christian Science.

My parents, who were very devout students of the Bible, were under the impression that Christian Science was spiritualism. Although I had been reading Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy for some time, I still wondered whether or not their opinion might be true. Therefore, I decided that I would not turn to a practitioner but to my Bible. I knew very little of Christian Science, but I did know that it teaches that there is an answer to every problem. With this bit of truth I had learned, I opened my Bible for the answer to this problem. I was divinely led to this passage from the Psalms: "Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord. This positive command with its promise of healing seemed to be such an adequate answer to my problem that I was overjoyed at opening to it without the slightest search for it. I have since learned to be very grateful for the guidance of divine Mind, which never fails us when we seek it.
