From the Directors

It would be beneficial to branch churches as well as to The Mother Church if the custom, which was formerly followed, of joining both churches at the same time would now be revived. To bring this about, the branch church officials as well as the applicant should helpfully co-operate. The one who is applying for local membership should have his attention drawn to the privileges and advantages of joining The Mother Church. This may be fittingly done by a brief announcement from the Reader's desk, at the right time, to the effect that application blanks for membership in The Mother Church may be had at the Reading Room or from the Clerk.

The alert practitioner will do well to remind his patients who may be ready for membership in The Mother Church of his willingness to sign their applications, and to otherwise encourage them to take this forward step. The great body of church members can also do much with their friends who are qualified for Mother Church membership by pointing out to them that the local church member who has not yet joined The Mother Church may be overlooking one fundamental provision that our Leader has made for his progress.
