Christian Science has so enriched my life that I feel I should like to share the many blessings which have come to me.

I am experiencing the great joy of health, happiness, and holiness through spiritual thinking. Previously I had been doomed by the doctors to a life of invalidism. After submitting to two operations and X-ray treatment for internal trouble, I was told that they had done all they could for me. I was further told that with care I might live a few years, but could not hope to be cured or ever to be active again.

My fear of the future, and the darkness and discouragement attendant upon it, were overcome while I was reading the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. The chapter on Prayer was a revelation to me. The opening words (p. 1), "The prayer that reforms the sinner and heals the sick is an absolute faith that all things are possible to God,—a spiritual understanding of Him, an unselfed love," filled me with a great sense of humility and comfort which I can never forget, for it was the beginning of regeneration and consecration for me; and when I tried to say, "Thank you, Father," I could find no words to express my gratitude at that moment.
