"Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it."

I have experienced blessings beyond words. When I became a student of Christian Science it was not for any healing purpose, but to know more about God. Some years ago a dear friend sent me some copies of the Christian Science Sentinel to read, and I found that for which I had hungered for many years. I also found, after studying the Lesson-Sermons as presented in the Christian Science Quarterly in connection with the Bible and "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, that I had need of healing of many things, such as wrong thinking, self-righteousness, self-pity, hatred, fear, worry, sensitiveness, and criticism. All these faults were not revealed at once; this awakening has come gradually. First of all, I realized I was not justified in hating someone who I thought had greatly wronged me. At once I determined to replace hatred with love. I labored long and alone, and I thank God hatred has been dissolved, and I am learning more and more each day to be thoughtful of others, and to see the good instead of evil in all. This work of awaking from the dream of materiality cannot be accomplished in a day, as our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, writes in Science and Health (p. 77), "This period will be of longer or shorter duration according to the tenacity of error."

We as students of Christian Science have much for which to be grateful. We have a feast of good things to help us on our way. Our Leader labored long to give the world this feast through her writings, which, when studied and put into practice, will bring results.
