One True Manifestation

Nothing has ever curtailed or invalidated the infinite and eternal manifestation of God, good, for "there is none else beside him." Everything needful and beautiful is included in the spiritual universe and spiritual man—the everlasting expression of the one perfect creator.

In all ages the presence of God has been glimpsed by the spiritually-minded. Hence Paul found himself saying, "The manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal." Material sense would have us believe that this manifestation is so remote, so inaccessible, that one can hardly be benefited by it. But there is no truth in this darkening suggestion. God, Spirit, is manifested in cloudless spiritual perception, and the way of spiritual profit is open to all.

In order that he may be mentally loyal to the one true manifestation of God, the Christian Scientist denies the validity of discordant sense evidence. In the measure of his success in doing this he finds serenity, purity, and harmony lighting up his consciousness, and so discovers the way to demonstrate permanent health, flawless wisdom, impeccable righteousness. This is the effect in human experience of God's manifestation unfolding in the consciousness illumined by Christian Science—the Science of being.
