In a recent issue, under the title "Some Schools of Thought," a critic includes some misleading remarks about Christian Science.

It appears that this critic has neither attended a Christian Science church service nor sought information from a Christian Scientist. Had either of these normal steps been taken he would not have committed such a faux pas as to say that the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, "seems to be regarded as the Bible of the Christian Scientist." The unchallenged priority and homage accorded by Mrs. Eddy and all Christian Scientists to the Bible is shown in the first of six Tenets of Christian Science, which reads, "As adherents of Truth, we take the inspired Word of the Bible as our sufficient guide to eternal Life" (Science and Health, p. 497).

I would point out that Christ Jesus said, "Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them." Christian Scientists, pointing to the many healings brought about through Christian Science in almost every part of the civilized world, are willing to have their religion judged on this Scriptural basis, emphasized by the master Christian.
