Some time ago we called to the attention of Churches of Christ, Scientist, in San Francisco, the great need of metaphysical support of the prison work. Its importance cannot be overestimated.

We have ample proof that Christian Science is definitely reaching the men in prison. This is evidenced by their regeneration while within the walls and their adherence to the teachings of Christian Science in meeting the problems which arise after they are released.

A Christian Science lecture was delivered November 6. The attention was excellent and the auditorium was filled. At the service held in the chapel at half-past eight on Thanksgiving morning approximately one hundred and fifty men were turned away, as the auditorium was filled to capacity. When the meeting was opened for brief testimonies of healing, the men responded immediately, several standing at one time. It takes sincerity and moral courage for these men to stand among their fellow prisoners and voice their gratitude for Christian Science healing.
