Mrs. Eddy says in Science and Health (Pref., p. vii), "To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings." For many years I have received much help in Christian Science, and I know that as I grow in understanding I shall receive still greater blessings.

When I was a small child I was sick most of the time, and was often out of school during the winter with colds, influenza, and congestion of the lungs, which would almost develop into pneumonia. The doctor said that if I had pneumonia he doubted whether I should ever live through it. I was also troubled with sick headaches and rheumatism.

After we became interested in Christian Science, when I was ten years old, I was able to attend school regularly and seldom missed a day. I did not become a student of Science until about twelve years later, although I attended church and Sunday school and would read whenever I had a physical trouble. But the time came when I had to do more than just read when I wanted help; I had to study and try to apply what I read and to watch my thinking. But I am very thankful for this, for I realize that it helped me to grow spiritually. I have had to have the help of a practitioner occasionally, but I have been able to help myself many times.
