As when the moon's cold light doth pale before the dawn,
And day's all-seeing eye destroys the night's concealed deceits,
And sleeping birds awake to sing,
And flowers unfold their fragile chalices,

So mortal thought doth fade before the dawn of Truth,
And nulls its willful loves and hates and secret churlish hopes;
And hushed purity awakes,
And selfless purpose bloometh fragrantly,
And light is everywhere.
