Before I knew of Christian Science I had drifted away...
Before I knew of Christian Science I had drifted away from the orthodox church, and had become a self-styled agnostic. I never read the Bible, and our two children were having no spiritual guidance whatever. I had a very peculiar outlook on life, and my thoughts towards people were very bitter and critical. I suffered from a very violent disposition, and was constantly in bondage to some form of physical discord.
A friend who had become interested in Christian Science persuaded me to have treatment for an ulcerated tooth, which was causing me great pain and discomfort. I had one absent treatment, and the healing was instantaneous.
This awakened my thought, and shortly afterwards I asked for help at the birth of our third child. This was a most harmonious experience, and on the fourth day I was able to go downstairs. I realized then that Christian Science was the only thing for me, and that I must try to learn more about it.
