From Letters, Substantially as Published

A syndicated feature article in a recent issue emphasized helpfully the importance of giving thoughtful attention to any work at hand, but its comment on Christian Scientists failed to show the distinction which is made by them between the divine Mind and the erroneous state called the carnal mind.

Christian Science teaches that the divine Mind is God, wholly good and perfect, and producing good alone. Divine Mind, or God, is expressed in intelligence, wisdom, harmony, health, and other good qualities; and the beneficent, spiritual law of divine Mind was utilized by Christ Jesus to destroy sickness, sin, and other discordant conditions. The divine Mind is the Mind of which Mary Baker Eddy speaks in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" when she says (p. 468), "All is infinite Mind and its infinite manifestation, for God is All-in-all."
