In much gratitude for the help and blessings Christian Science has brought to me, I wish to send in my testimony that others who read it may find help and courage to trust in God, no matter what their problems may be.

I have been healed of rheumatism and of a sprained ankle. The ankle pained for a few minutes until I began to know the truth—that matter cannot "ache, swell, and be inflamed as the result of a law of any kind" (Science and Health, p. 393, by Mrs. Eddy). I found myself limping, and at once declared audibly that if God could stop pain. He could free me from limping. Truth has helped me to carry on my garden work and housework; in fact, it is helping me wherever I am or whatever I am doing.

I should like to tell of a healing my husband had in 1922. His shoulder was drawn out of shape from a severe attack of rheumatism, and was so painful that he could not rest, either lying down or sitting up. We called a practitioner, fifty miles away. As my husband did not seem to get the help he needed, the practitioner asked him to come and see her. He had been advised by friends to use a certain material remedy, and told the practitioner so. She asked him if he recalled the temptation of Jesus and his firm stand against temptation for forty days and forty nights. He replied in the affirmative, and the practitioner told him that he was in a similar place to that in which Jesus had been, and asked, "Are you going to bow down to medicine and have it for your god?" My husband then told her he would rely on the truth. When he left her office, the words came as though a voice were speaking to him, "Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits." He quickly received his healing, and has had no return of the trouble.
