Before I became interested in Christian Science, I had been a medical nurse for many years, and at one time had been burned by X ray. The burn resulted in scarred tissue, which the medical profession said would never heal. They also told me that in time it would result in cancer. Like Job, "the thing which I greatly feared" came upon me, for this condition manifested itself after I had been interested in Science for a number of years. After being examined by a physician and told that there was no hope of healing, I turned unreservedly to Christian Science. A consecrated practitioner lovingly and untiringly worked and encouraged me when, to material sense, things looked very black. At last the error yielded to the power of Truth, and I was completely healed.

For the many healings which I have experienced through the application of Christian Science, including those of kidney trouble, dope habit, blood poisoning, bronchitis, and the necessity of wearing an elastic stocking, and for all the loving help from practitioners and friends along the road from sense to Soul, I am very grateful.
