A Normal class has recently been held by the Christian Science Board of Education. In accordance with the By-Law, Article XXX, Section 1, of the Manual of The Mother Church, the class convenes on the first Wednesday of December in each third year. The teacher of the 1937 class was Mr. Bicknell Young, C.S.B., of Chicago, Illinois, who also taught the Normal class in 1910. He has been a member of The Christian Science Board of Lectureship for many years. During a three-year term Mr. Young was also First Reader of The Mother Church in Boston.
The pupils in the class came from three countries abroad and from fifteen states of the United States, as follows: Australia, England, and New Zealand; California, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, Wisconsin.
