My Part

ANTOINETTE HOLBROOK

Show me my part,
O Father dear; help me to climb the hill,
And step by step to reach the heights with Thee!
Let me look upward, visioning Thy will;
Help me to walk in true humility.
Show me my part!

Show me my part,
That I the road ahead may never fear,
However steep it seems, however long.
Help me to feel Thy loving presence near,
To hear Thy voice, and answer with a song.
Show me my part!

This is my part,
To know my Father keepeth me in peace,
To turn alway to Him in calm, in stress,
And thus from error's ways to find release;
To glimpse the glory of the seamless dress—
This is my part.

I'll do my part,
And see myself the child of perfect Love;
With happy step I'll walk the way with Thee.
And as I keep the faith, then shall I prove
That Thou art All, and all is harmony.
I'll do my part.
