Heartfelt gratitude urges me to share my blessings with others who perhaps may be seeking comfort. In the darkest moment I realized that "the more difficult seems the material condition to be overcome by Spirit, the stronger should be our faith and the purer our love" (Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, p. 410). All my material supply was wiped away, and the test of my faith came when nervous prostration with heart trouble came upon me. But through the work of a patient, consecrated practitioner and the help of a Christian Science nurse I was enabled to reach our haven of rest, The Christian Science Benevolent Association Sanatorium at Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, where, with rest and study, I proved the truth of our Leader's words (ibid., p. 125), "Neither organic inaction nor overaction is beyond God's control; and man will be found normal and natural to changed mortal thought."

Since then I have had the privilege of class instruction with one of Mrs. Eddy's students, and I feel particularly grateful for our Church Manual, which provides for this instruction, for certainly the fulfillment of this step in our progress puts one on the Rock where neither flood nor tide can harm. I know now that Love does provide for our daily needs, and I have had many proofs of God's loving protection and care. I receive an abundance of spiritual nourishment from our periodicals and from our Lesson-Sermons, as found in the Christian Science Quarterly.

My husband and three children are regular attendants at our services and they have all had many occasions to prove the truth of Christian Science.

I am always appreciative of membership in The Mother Church and also in a branch church, and I must state how much joy I have derived from our Wednesday evening testimony meetings, where I can have the privilege of giving audible as well as silent praise to God and to our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, who had to overcome many trials and tribulations in order to give us this complete revelation as found in Science and Health. I am truly, humbly grateful to be a living witness to this truth, and it is my earnest desire daily to grow in grace and let my light so shine that all men will know that I glorify my Father.
