The Lectures
Introductions to Lectures
Park Ridge, Illinois (First Church).
Lecturer: Judge Samuel W. Greene; introduced by Early Carlton Crabtree, who said:—
The giving of a Christian Science lecture is always a blessing to a community; and not infrequently individuals who attend the lecture find instant relief from some distressing condition that has long held them in bondage. And why not? A Christian Science lecture is an explanation of the truth, and we are all familiar with that declaration of Jesus, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." Free! Free from what? some may ask. Free from the ills that flesh is heir to. Even a slight understanding of this truth has been known to heal inveterate disease instantly, when rightly applied. The Christian Science Journal and the Christian Science Sentinel contain many well-authenticated testimonies of healing experienced through a knowledge of the truth.
