It is with a heart full of gratitude that I add my testimony to the many already given in our periodicals.
I was suffering from semiblindness, and was often referred to by relatives and friends as blind. I could not see my children's faces and did not know one of them from the other. I was a physical wreck. Like Martha, I was "troubled about many things." In my extremity I turned to God and He showed me in His Word, the Bible, the answer to all my problems. I found an old copy of The Christian Science Journal, and opened it at these words: "Christ, Truth, is risen 'with healing in his wings.' " I realized that this was Christian Science. My healing was not fully accomplished, however, for several years.
I have also been healed of neuralgia of long standing, of smallpox which I had for three days, of influenza which lasted eight days and suddenly disappeared, and of ptomaine poisoning. In the last case, when friends were saying that I could not live unless I received medical attention, I recovered through the understanding of Christian Science, and no doctor was called.
