I have often wished to express my gratitude for Christian Science by giving a testimony, but have been reluctant to do so, because all of my problems have not yet been met. Mrs. Eddy says (Science and Health, p. 3): "Are we really grateful for the good already received? Then we shall avail ourselves of the blessings we have, and thus be fitted to receive more." Therefore I give this testimony with the hope that it may encourage others who may be laboring under the false claim of fear and timidity.

I have had many healings in Christian Science, such as of colds, ptomaine poisoning, and several attacks of what probably would have been diagnosed by a physician as appendicitis. The last attack was over four years ago. I have also experienceed protection in accidents. To some extent unlovely traits of character have been corrected. But more than for the healings, I am grateful for a better understanding of God and of His spiritual creation. I am truly grateful to God and to Mrs. Eddy for revealing the spiritual interpretation of the Scriptures through Christian Science, also to the practitioners who so lovingly and patiently have helped me on my journey from sense to Soul; for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church; for the literature; and for what Christian Science is doing to correct the evil influences in the whole world.
