Awake, O Man!

Awake , O dreaming one! Cast off thy swaddling clothes.
Believe no longer thou must fettered be.
The sun of Truth has risen; rouse thyself!
A glad new day awaits thee—thou art free!
The lie thou hast been seeing never was;
Unfallen, pure, thou hast a perfect Life.
In glad rejoicing leave thy troubled sleep,
No longer dream of sickness, sin, and strife.
No mortal birth or death belongs to man,
No dragging weight of false nativity.
Reflecting Life, God's image is secure,
Undying, safe in immortality.
