The Lectures

EAST FALLS, VIRGINIA (First Church).

Lecturer: Paul A. Harsch; introduced by Miss Beatrice Virginia Smith, who said:—

One day while I was preparing my thought to receive greater blessings from a Christian Science lecture, a beautiful passage came to me as a sacred challenge to "put on the whole armour of God." It is found on page 177 of "Miscellaneous Writings" by our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy: "Never was there a more solemn and imperious call than God makes to us all, right here, for fervent devotion and an absolute consecration to the greatest and holiest of all causes. The hour is come." The hour has indeed come, my friends, when we may, each one, consecrate every thought, word, and deed to prove to ourselves and others what divine Love means to us.
