I wish to express my gratitude for a recent healing in Christian Science.
One morning while driving to work I had an automobile accident. During the crash I was thrown from the car, through the door. When picked up, I was at first thought to be dead. I was taken to the hospital, and soon after arriving there I roused to semiconsciousness and said in a very decided tone, "I am a Christian Scientist." Later I roused again and gave the name and telephone number of the one at home whom I wished called, also the name of the school at which I was due. Christian Science work was started immediately. Five X rays were taken for possible fractures of the skull, ankle, and shoulder bones. There were lacerations and abrasions of the face, head, and body.
After two hours had elapsed, the practitioner arrived as I was becoming fully conscious. Although the doctor wished very much to have me remain at the hospital for a while, he gave me permission to go home—a distance of eighteen miles—on condition that I ride in an ambuleance, and have a doctor to condition that I ride in an ambuleance, and have a doctor to check with the hospital concerning the X rays.
