May I again have space to reply to a letter misrepresenting Christian Science.

We thank our critic for his open acknowledgment of the healing power of Christian Science. It is refreshing to find an indication of a desire to be fair in the midst of so much misrepresentation and unfairness.

In considering whether or not Christian Science is in accord with Christ Jesus' teachings, it is necessary to remember that throughout his entire ministry he healed all manner of disease, and he also taught his disciples to do the same. It will be recalled that he rebuked his disciples for their failure to heal a lunatic child, and he told them that their inability to cope with the case was because of unbelief or lack of understanding. It is worthy of note in this connection that he who rebuked others for their lack of faith instantaneously healed the case which they had failed to heal.
